Ode to Elladonia Lomax

90 years around the sun

Giving us light

Imparting your wisdom

Leading through action

The ultimate example of what it meant to be a self-partnered, feminist, mother bear.

Baring your soul within private spaces and intercession on my behalf.

Prayers sent above and whispered in my ear, forever captured in my heart and in my mind.

Humbly you served. Faithful worker, mother to your own two children and to those you did not physically birth.

Bringing glory and honor to God, through every act. Praising him at every moment.

While you may e removed from the physical earth you are within me immanently at all times.

Glory to God, almighty divine. We praised her through her transition.

Glory to God, almighty divine. We praised her through the pearly gates.

Glory to God, almighty divine. Her skin glowed like gold. Her face showed her soul.

Glory to God, almighty divine.
