I was lucky enough to have Danisha as my former manager, turned forever mentor. She is someone who will give honest feedback no matter what the situation. I recently came to Danisha as I was unsure how to approach an opportunity that I knew I wanted to take at work. Given a few circumstances, I knew this would be a tough conversation for me to have with my manager. I also didn’t want me taking this opportunity to tarnish my rapport with my team. Danisha gave me a recommendation on how to go about accepting the opportunity, and most importantly, how to handle the communication across all parties. All went as planned and I don’t think it would have gone as swimmingly if it wasn’t for the coaching steps she advised I were to take. I can honestly say my career path wouldn’t be the same if Danisha’s leadership and coaching hadn’t made such a positive impact on it!
